Botley in Bloom - Summer Gardening Comp. 2010

Our thanks to all those who entered the Botley in Bloom 2010 Summer Gardening Competition.  In view of the cold winter and heatwave summer, many of you still maintained your gardens to such a high standard, which made judging even more difficult.   Here are the Results and also a reminder that all entrants and guests are invited to the Presentation Evening on Thursday 21 October, 7 for 7.30pm at the Masonic Centre Brook Lane.

The University of the Third Age

The University of the Third Age offers the opportunity to share your knowledge, experience and talents with others and learn from them in friendly surroundings

The Hamble Valley U3A group covers Botley, Hedge End, West End, Bursledon, Netley/Hound, and Hamble. Meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at The Underhill Centre, St John's Road, Hedge End. The Group has gone from strength to strength since its first meeting in May 2009.

SDA Feasibility Manager
PUSH has appointed Matthew James as Project Feasibility Manager for the SDA, working on behalf of Eastleigh Borough Council and Winchester City Council.  Matthew is based in the Planning Policy and Design team at Eastleigh Borough Council.  Matthew is consulting with all interested parties.  He has met with Botley Parish Council, BPAG and Botley Market Town Partnership.

SE Plan announced - SDA included!

on 6th May the Government published the South East Plan.  It includes the Special Development Area (SDA) 'north of Hedge End'.  This will change Botley forever!  more details...

 
Centre for Information
The proposed Centre for Information has received Planning Permission. More Details...
